--- Gated communities, with walls, to protect Sunnis in Baghdad ---
WASHINGTON — The U.S. military is planning and building at least 10 gated communities, ringed by security walls, in Baghdad. Officials said the U.S. military has already completed walls around some of the communities as part of the campaign to secure the Iraqi capital. They said at least 10 Baghdad neighborhoods have been or would become gated communities in an effort to prevent sectarian violence.
Since they've gone that far, since they're acknowledging that they have to physically separate those two factions, why not just divide Iraq into the Shi'ite region, the Sunni region, and the Kurdish extreme north, and be done with it?
(Do you think that would turn into a North Korea/South Korea situation, or North/South Vietnam, and we'd automatically, by magical predestination, be drawn into another war? WRONG, moron! We don't CARE who wins between the Sunnis and the Shi'ites!)
Or whether they divide Iraq or not, at least be done with it. Are we supposed to care whether Sunnis or Shi'ites rule Iraq? Are we supposed to care if Sunnis kill Shi'ites and vice versa? Let them eat each other up, like the Gingham Dog and the Calico Cat, as far as I'm concerned.
Why do we want to stay there and referee? Let them stew in their own juice. We have other targets elsewhere to deal with -- madrassas, training camps, Waziristan, etc. Drop this stupid idea of ADOPTING Iraq, and concentrate on bashing the Muslims! And keep them out of our own country -- who needs THAT trouble? Why do we let them immigrate here, to fight us from within as a fifth column?
This administration has its head so far up its anus, it'll never see daylight again.
