From the New York Times:
The office of Mr. Reid, who had emphatically sought to hold Republicans accountable for sabotaging a presidential priority, distributed a document titled “Republicans Brought Down the Immigration Bill.”
It listed news reports and Republican statements that put the onus on the president’s party. “Last night, Republicans torpedoed comprehensive immigration reform,” the statement said.
Isn't he precious! Casper the Smarmy Ghost thinks he's scoring points on the Republicans by telling us they scuttled the immigration bill? Casper needs to get out of town more and visit "the folks" (as Bill O'Reilly calls us).
Casper is so stupid and smug, he can't even conceive of such a thing as honest people of good will opposing the travesty he and a few senators dreamed up. He thinks, whatever liberals in Congress are in favor of, that's the voice of God and the view of all right-thinkers.
He thinks people will be fooled just because Senatorial autocrats slap the "reform" sticker on the side of the bill. He thinks the Senate can sell this country down the river, and all they have to do to get us to accept it, is spread a lot of deceitful, shabby rhetoric around.
All of this proves: we're smarter than he thinks we are, and he's far stupider than a senator has any right to be.
