Economic House Built On Sand

Apologists and Pollyannas keep trying to lull us all into a false sense of security about losing our entire manufacturing base. It's just "free trade," they say, it's "progress," and anyway we can buy stuff cheaper from China than we can make it, har, har, har!

Manufacturing -- actually making something -- is the firm foundation of an economy. Without it, we're just building a house on sand. We're becoming "a village, all of whose inhabitants make a living by taking in one another's laundry."

And China is becoming the world's powerhouse, because we're educating their young technicians, we're shipping them our whole manufacturing infrastructure, we're going into debt to them in astronomical amounts, and we're allowing their spies to infest this country like cockroaches and steal all the technological information we don't give their young students. We're throwing away our economy and our place in the world in order to fatten China -- so she'll like us! What asinine fecklessness! What moronic, sacrificial appeasement!

After 35 Years of Standing Up, Sit down

Hillary Clinton says she's been "standing up for abused and neglected children" and sech for 35 years. She says the whole country knows where she stands.

 Hillary -- go ahead and sit down. Seriously. Take a load off. We don't care whether you sit, stand, or (as usual) lie. We know you're a self-dramatizing pseudo-heroine, that you think you're some kind of Christ figure sent down to America to save us backward, benighted citizens.

But spare us. Don't bother. Seriously. We're not worthy. Spare us your attentions, your "brilliant" intellect, your whips, chains, and other dominatrix accoutrements. Spare us your nauseating hypocrisy, your insane lust for power, your sneaking, underhanded, lying weasel ways. Spare us your cattle-futures money-laundering conspiracies. Spare us your slanderous accusations against the Travel Office employees. Spare us your felonious hiding of subpoenaed billing records. Spare us your Uriah-Heep-like hand-wringing, toad-licking, suck-up calculating mannerisms. Spare us YOU.

Sheer Madness

The U.S. has been running bases in Jericho to train Fatah militias since the late 1990s. Over the years, the U.S. also has provided Fatah militias with arms, reportedly including thousands of high-powered assault rifles during the past year alone.     
In August, the State Department announced the U.S. will begin new training courses for Fatah militias in an effort to bolster Abbas against Hamas, which took over the Gaza Strip in June when the terror group easily defeated American-backed Fatah forces in the territory.

Sheer madness! What do we care if Fatah beats Hamas, or vice versa? I hope they eat each other up, like the gingham dog and the calico cat. To side with one over the other, and to give ARMS AND TRAINING  to any of those medieval cutthroats, is the mark of a criminally fatuous, infantile, clueless government.
