HILLARY'S MANIFESTO:

• Living wage.
• Legal right to health care.
• Universal pre-K
• Don't worry too much about tests, just make sure kids can learn.
• Tax the rich.
• Bring troops home.

That is, she proposes to "take over every American's life, choke the life out of the taxpayer, and bully third parties to make them do my bidding."

"Health care" : Hillary continues the Democratic tradition of taking over every area of life, one by one -- much like Stalin. This is the Democrats' tactic of,  "Find some necessity of life that some people lack; offer to have government (i.e., the taxpayers) pay for it; excoriate the Republicans when they object." 

Hillary's still itching to be czarina of the entire medical industry, nationalizing it and turning it into a huge government bureaucracy. Why do liberals have such a mania for destroying independent medical care?

First, anything not under the thumb of government just makes them sick. It's a mental illness with them.

Second, there is now a profit motive in medicine (though it's not really so much profit as payment for services.) Liberals have an irrational distaste for profits and the independent entrepreneur,  because of their sophomoric, malicious attachment to soft-soap Marxism. Nobody is more sophomoric and malicious than Hillary.

Third, in independent medicine, the 'wrong" people excel, achieve, and prosper. That is, there are too many white male doctors. (Hillary wanted to cut white males down to a predetermined percentage of medical-school slots.)
 

Pre-K : Government must take over pre-kindergarten, forcing kids into government regimentation while they're still toddlers, and making the citizens pay for it.

"Living wage" : She wants to ordain a "living wage," meaning, she'll order third parties to provide as she sees fit for second parties. This is called an "unfunded mandate" -- ordering other people to pay for your schemes.

She'll "soak the rich," meaning she'll make the tax burden even more crushing.It's the same old malicious demagogy she's always been up to.

"Don't worry too much about tests" -- that's not a policy, it's a bumper sticker. "A child is so much more than a test"? Well, a child is much more than a brainless slogan, too.

If this flea-bitten harridan, this would-be Madame Ceausescu, this Lucretia Borgia manquéé, gets into office, I'll croak -- louder than the biggest bullfrog on earth.

         NEW ORLEANS (AP) - A vagrant wanted for questioning in a rape overpowered a police officer who was trying to handcuff him, then shot her to death with her own weapon Monday, police said.  

    The officer's death was a blow to this city, where hopes were high that a new year could hold back a wave of crime that has been a dark backdrop to the rebuilding effort since Hurricane Katrina. . . .

    Officer Nicola Cotton, 24, approached the suspect in her police cruiser and began questioning him. When she tried to handcuff him he attacked her, and a seven-minute fight ensued, Riley said.         

Liberals or leftists continue to deny reality. They support women's push into men’s roles, whether or not they're qualified for them. (Remember the little old lady who was shot in a courthouse by a prisoner going to court a couple of years ago?) An idea of proper jobs for men and women is just not PC -- which means common sense and human nature aren't PC.

    "I can tell you this officer fought with a man twice her size, and she fought very courageously," Riley said. "She followed procedure as far as we're concerned."       

Oh great! She followed procedure! That’s all right, then. But what about the idiots who put her out there on the streets to face men twice her size – what are they following? Some asinine, destructive PC ideology. It’s criminal!
 

Cotton was among the first graduates of the police academy after Katrina. At the time, the Police Department was hemorrhaging officers and was aggressively recruiting.

Riley called Cotton a "clean-cut" woman who "carried herself well."

"This is a very difficult and sad day for the New Orleans Police Department," Riley said. "I just left a group of officers who are crying, upset."

Now you're upset! You should have upset before, when you saw some slip of a girl going out to police the streets. You bunch of fatuous idiots, you didn’t care enough about that girl’s safety to say anything beforehand. You lacked the guts to buck the PC orthodoxy. Now you're prostrate with grief and smothered in huge crocodilian tears. Spare me.

News item:

"They are getting votes, to be sure, because of their race or gender. That's why people tell me Hillary doesn't have a chance of winning here," former President Clinton said at one stop as he campaigned for his wife, strongly suggesting that blacks would not support a white alternative to Obama.

Blacks would not support a white alternative to Obama? Well, duhhh!

When has a majority-black populace ever supported any candidate but a black one? The aggregation of incompetents, criminals, illiterates and miscreants blacks have elected -- from Mayor Dinkins to Ray Nagin -- seems to indicate that the main criterion for a candidate, in order to win  black voters, is to be black. For them, it's not a question of good government -- it's just a question of power and wanting to be "top dog" in society.

Meanwhile, whites are supposed to be SO high-minded; they're not even supposed to notice what color a candidate is -- sort of like George Costanza on the Seinfeld show.
So Obama is going around, giving out with that high-minded, race-neutral, hypocritical rhetoric:

"I did not travel around this state over the last year and see a white South Carolina or a black South Carolina. I saw South Carolina," he said.

Yeah, bullshot. He knows he has the black vote in the bag, and he just wants to keep lull whites with that soothing, lofty rhetoric,  like:

"The choice in this election is not between regions or religions or genders," Obama said. "It's not about rich versus poor; young versus old; and it is not about black versus white.

In other words, "Choose me, whitey,  or you're a racist. And you blacks -- keep on being 'down with the struggle.' " It's all very high-minded and right-thinking -- unless and until he wins; then it will be a mass riot from shore to shore.

Whites are supposed to be absolutely even-handed, antiseptic, large-minded, all the while blacks are mumbling to themselves, "Gotta elect a brotha. Gotta elect a brotha. Gotta elect a brotha . . ."

If whites are going to start with a deficit, i.e., start with the knowledge that the black vote is going to be nearly monolithic for a black, it's senseless to be even-handed, fatuous, high-minded, and play into their hands. Let's even the playing field.

I don't mind the "stimulus package," especially if the gummint sends me a check for a few hundred dollars. My rule is, If they give it, take it.

And as for interest cuts, OK, cut 'em. It might help something.

But neither of these two small, puny gestures is going to bring 3,000,000 jobs back from China and other low-wage countries. THAT'S what's trashing our economy -- the "giant sucking sound" Ross Perot (the Hand Grenade in a Bad Haircut) predicted.

We have all our production done somewhere else, meaning, somebody else does all the earning. And we do all the spending. Does it take an economics genius to know that that's out of balance? That it's going to cause problems? That it's making our money shrink until it's not worth a Continental?

But off-shoring, tariffs, protecting our whole source of prosperity -- that's one issue our far-seeing, noble, brave legislators will not raise. That would make them "protectionists," and God Forbid we protect our economy! Better to be sacrificialists, and sacrifice our economy, our strength and our national security on the altar of political correctness, niceness, do-gooderism, and hare-brained, Cliffs-Notes economic theories.   

As long as it's considered low, mean, selfish, non-PC to do something in our own country's national interests, none of the geniuses in Washington will be able to save our economy from its crash dive. They will continue betraying our country by their feckless cowardice and fatuity.
 

Here are some excerpts  from a piece in the British magazine, The Spectator, about the kind of medical care the Brits get today:

James Hughes-Onslow reports on the wretchedness of breaking an ankle and then having to persuade the man in A&E that his agony was caused by more than a sprain

It’s six years since I wrote . . . about my broken right ankle, humiliatingly sustained . . .  in a French ski resort. The joke among British patients in the hospital in Grenoble, all of them with much worse injuries than mine, was that it was better to stay where we were, where staff knew about broken bones and where there was a comfortable hostel for patients’ relatives, rather than return to the bosom of the NHS [National Health Service] where we might catch  MRSA   [a pernicious strain of  Staph Aureus].

Well, now I’ve broken my left ankle and this time I had no choice.. . .

My foot was by now increasingly painful and swollen and, after about an hour’s wait at [King’s College Hospital in Camberwell] ,   a doctor said it was probably sprained but I ought to have an X-ray. . . . Then there was another hour’s wait before a doctor appeared. He asked about other problems I had had . . . before telling me I had sprained my ankle. I told him I knew I hadn’t twisted my foot, only squashed it between the bike and the cobbles, and I knew what a bone injury felt like as a result of the previous episode. But had he looked at the X-ray? No, he hadn’t, but he promised to do so and, after disappearing for a while, he came back to confirm that I had sprained my ankle. . . .

But as the days went by and the pain and swelling got worse, I became more convinced it was a fracture. After ten days I went to see my GP, the excellent Dr Sunanda Wickremesinghe, who came to England as a medical student from Ceylon but now rather wishes he had gone to America or Australia where the medical profession is in better health. After much painful probing Dr Wickers, as he is known to his patients in Stockwell, pronounced that I had cracked a bone and, with a fine fountain pen, wrote a two-page letter to King’s College Hospital requesting another X-ray.

Hospital staff were not too pleased to see me again when I turned up ten minutes later, as it was Christmas Eve. They dug up my records and pointed out that I had already had an X-ray and it indicated there was no injury to the bone. . . . [Eventually, a] second X-ray was ordered and it revealed quite clearly — even I could see it — that there was a crack in the bone. The second doctor, Mr Hamilton, told me the crack was also visible in the first X-ray. So my leg was put in plaster and I was given crutches but no apologies were offered. These days they might be legally expensive, after all.

Oh for that nice hospital in Grenoble.

I'll give my diagnosis of such incidents as this -- anecdotal, to be sure, but you know what I always say: a million anecdotes here, a million anecdotes there, pretty soon you're talking statistics.

Anyway, my diagnosis is, government has taken over medical care, and has taken it out of the hands of the people who actually do it. Government has robbed doctors of their responsibility, their authority, and their initiative. They've been converted from responsible, dedicated practitioners with the ultimate decision-making power in guiding a patient's treatment, into mere wage slaves, underlings and subservient beings. They don't feel invested in their patients' health, they don't get proportionate money and respect,  and they're more like bureaucratic cogs than medical professionals. Is it any wonder that many of them have a lackadaisical attitude?

But that's the situation high-minded leftists like Hillary Clinton want to impose on us. She wants a government takeover of medical care, as of everything else, with herself as czarina of it all.

And the reason is not "love," despite their lofty professions of concern for the poor. No, the reason is hate -- they have a bigoted animosity against doctors (too many white males) and profits (because of lingering fatuous Marxist sentiments).

Do you know why the U.S.S.R. collapsed? Because at the end there, it was just a giant slum from border to border. Nobody was in charge of his own life, his own business, his own work. Government owned everything and controlled everything. So the rule was, "We pretend to work, and they pretend to pay us."

Hillary and like-minded scum want to turn our medical industry into a giant slum offering "pretend" medical care.
