Obama is a classic example of projection, or passive-aggressive behavior. He's making up attacks on him
that haven't been made yet, in order to show how evil his opponents are.
It's not enough for him to fight straw men -- he has to fight fictional, visitor-from-the-future straw men.
He tells us all what those rascally Republicans are bound to say in the future:
“It is going to be very difficult for Republicans to run on their stewardship of the economy or their outstanding foreign policy. We know what kind of campaign they’re going to run. They’re going to try to make you afraid. They’re going to try to make you afraid of me. He’s young and inexperienced and he’s got a funny name. And did I mention he’s black?"
Here's an idea: wait until they run their campaign, and then respond to
it. Wait until they make their arguments, and then answer
those -- not some made-up arguments in your own deluded mind that nobody has advanced.
Why did he make up those particular straw men? To continue the main theme of his campaign:
If you Whiteys don't vote for me, it's because you're racist. All your criticism of me is really racism.
That was the idea behind his "post-racial" rhetoric. That was his way of saying,
Go ahead and vote for me, Whitey -- we're post-racial now. And all you home boys, I KNOW I got your vote.
This is the slickest, most deceitful, most hypocritical and sanctimonious, slimiest politician we've seen in a long time.
